Rajni has written the story of Rana, based on some incidents that happened in the 18th Century. The Director Rajni preparing the screenplay and dialogues for the story written by super-star Rajnikanth. Eros International is producing this film.

Rajini is donning triple role in this film which is a historical cum period venture. The budget of this film might cross Rs 100 Crores. There is no connection between Raana and Hara. Only after the release of Raana, Hara will be released.

Deepika Padukone is the main heroine of the film. It has not been decided that which heroines will pair with the three Rajnis. The dialogues and screenplay for the first half are ready. Discussions are going on for the next half.

The sequences regarding Rajni and Deepika Padukone will be shot first. The shooting of this film is to take place in India and Europe. The shooting will take for more than an year.
